Salsa & Bachata
Salsa and Bachata are two Caribbean-style dances that are informal, free, and improvisational, requiring special attention. The dances feature "catchy" and memorable rhythms. These dances are especially popular among youth and adults. In the group, you can dance with a regular partner.
Salsa translates to "sauce" in Spanish. As you dance and learn more figures, you create your own choreography, your own "sauce." Of course, at first, you need to learn the basic salsa figures. Since this group dances only two dances - Salsa and Bachata - we learn the basic steps fairly quickly.
Bachata originated in the Dominican Republic. This dance was previously banned in mainstream society, but it gained recognition a few decades ago. This dance will provide you with many moments of relaxation and joy.
If you don't have a partner, we will help you find one. If that is not possible, Salsa and Bachata can also be danced solo by Latin dance dancers.
